VOLUNTEERS
GMS relies on a strong support system comprised of teachers and parents. Parents are encouraged to become involved with school activities. As a community, our students benefit by parents sharing their special interests and talents. Parent Volunteers are supported by a selected group of parents known as the Core Group. This group helps to organize volunteer opportunities for both classrooms and the school at-large in addition to organizing smaller fundraising events school wide. There are numerous ways you can volunteer your talents at our school.
• School building & grounds maintenance (projects)
• Driving the children to or from field trips
• Gardening
• Class/School performances
• School events
• Speakers (sharing information)
• Material making
• Classroom Parent
• Fundraising
• Newsletter Assistance
Each year we schedule Community Meetings, Parent Education Nights and other special parent events regarding your children’s programs. We strongly encourage all parents to attend so they are able to understand the methods and practices at Garden Montessori School.
We appreciate everyone’s participation not only for their educational value but also for the joy it brings to the children when they see their parents actively involved in their educational process and aiding to enrich our environments. Feel free to contact your child’s teacher or call the front office to find out how you can get involved.
