Physical Education
At Garden Montessori School our program recognizes and promotes the concept that physical activity provides opportunities for health, mental, emotional, physical and social development.
The curriculum includes a foundation of basic movement and manipulative skills so that the students will experience success and feel comfortable during present and future physical activity pursuits.
The activities included in the program are designed to promote physical fitness, to develop motor skills, to instill knowledge and understanding of rules, concepts, and strategies, and to teach students to work as part of a team, or as individuals, in a wide variety of sport activities.
Music Program

The music program at Garden Montessori School teaches children about music while aiding in their development. Some of the developmental benefits your child can gain from the music program are; language development, memory skills, self-expression, confidence, creativity, spatial-temporal skills and much more! We also add movements to our songs so that the children can get up and move around to the beat of the song. Our curriculum covers; classical music/composers, mini piano lessons, learning about different musical instruments and what families they belong to, cultural/diverse musical selections, how to properly warm up for singing, what muscles/organs are involved in singing, musical notes/chords/scales and many more activities and lessons to engage your children and enrich their minds.
